Although the fisherman's village we visited next was no longer standing, the journey there was an exhilarating off-road adventure across sandy terrain, with the occasional bumpy ride adding to the excitement. The adventure continued with a jaunt across dirt tracks to modest dunes, offering us the opportunity to climb and soak in the panoramic views. For those interested, there was even a chance to experience a camel ride. Dinner in a hillside village was a cultural feast, featuring Chicken tagine, bread, couscous, and fresh oranges, all enjoyed in a communal style, true to tradition. Our return trip included fascinating stops at a dam and an argan honey shop before we were comfortably delivered back to our hotel. The camp greeted us with welcoming tea upon arrival after a scenic drive. The evening unfolded with tranquil sunset sandboarding sessions amidst the dunes, followed by a sumptuous dinner of salad and tagine around a cozy campfire, serenaded by music under an awe-inspiring starlit sky. The camp provided simple accommodations with tents for two, toilets, and rudimentary shower facilities. An early rise at 7 a.m. rewarded us with a stunning sunrise, coupled with a fresh breakfast to energize the return journey. While a freshening break at our hotel was appreciated, the subsequent camel ride would have been more enchanting had it taken place amidst the desert sands – the sole suggestion for improvement on this otherwise unforgettable adventure. We relished a sumptuous lunch at a traditional restaurant right on the sandy beach of Legzira, offering authentic and delectable cuisine. Our adventure took us through the enchanting Legzira for lunch, the intriguing Little Sahara, and the reservoir that presented us with stunning views and a breathtaking sunset. There were numerous opportunities for photo-taking and exploring local wonders. I would wholeheartedly recommend this tour—a 100% must-do experience!
