Our tour, booked through Tratoli, began with a pickup from our hotel at 8 AM, but quickly became disorganized. We were shuffled between vans, even returning to our starting point and embarking on aimless travel around Zanzibar for over an hour. The guide, Mike, assured us of a joyful experience, yet we were joined by another couple despite being promised a private tour. At Nakupenda beach, our time was prolonged without any snorkeling gear provided and we were rushed to eat our meal, which was served cold, as the tide was coming in. Meanwhile, other groups were already departing the island. On Prison Island, the experience was chaotic, as we were given a mere ten minutes to see the tortoises and five minutes for the prison, with no information shared by Mike who was preoccupied with his phone. Our group was left to wander, causing a delay in departure as Mike collected everyone. Stone Town was equally underwhelming. Absent any meaningful commentary from Mike, we briefly visited the fortress, enjoyed a rooftop view, and saw the exterior of Freddie Mercury's home. In each place, we had only five minutes to capture photos. Mike's focus seemed to be on promoting a spice farm visit, which we declined despite his persistence. Ultimately, we booked another tour to properly explore Stone Town. I regret to say that I wouldn't recommend this travel package, Tratoli's service, nor our guide Mike.

I had a less-than-satisfactory experience with the tour portion of my vacation arranged through Tratoli, beginning with a pickup from the Ocean Paradise Resort. Our journey led us to Stone Town, yet the excursion was disappointingly minimalistic, summarized essentially by brief identifications: a door, a market, and a reference to Freddie's house, with the guide not meeting expectations and leaving me quite frustrated. Contrastingly, the six-day safari adventure provided by Tratoli redeemed the experience immensely, delivering excellence and truly capturing the essence of an unforgettable safari experience.

Our excursion to Prison Island delivered memorable encounters with the island's majestic tortoises, paired with delightful swimming experiences at Nakupenda. The lunch provided was a delectable treat. Nevertheless, there was a hiccup where communication with the tour operator became necessary after an extended half-hour delay for our hotel pickup. The guide's involvement was subpar, offering limited insights throughout our journey, often opting to socialize with the crew, accompanied by smoking and beer indulgence, which detracted from the professionalism of the trip booked through Tratoli.
