Although the Shala river's low water levels restricted our boat journey, the vistas we did encounter were mesmerizing. The culinary experience only enhanced the day, with a sumptuous lunch at a lake guesthouse leaving our taste buds thoroughly satisfied. A couple of suggestions for future travelers: first, be sure to bring a jacket. Our September trip revealed a surprisingly brisk and damp boat ride. Secondly, be prepared for a leisurely pace, as the experience involves considerable sitting—about 3-4 hours of driving with breaks and a two-hour round-trip boat ride. If an active adventure is what you seek, this may not align with your preferences, but the breathtaking panoramic views are sure to impress anyone.
