I recently embarked on a fascinating Peruvian adventure, thanks to a well-organized travel package by Tratoli. Our journey was nothing short of amazing, and our guide, Gary, played a significant role in that. He provided us with an in-depth look at the rich Incan history, traditions, and lifestyle which was both intriguing and enlightening. Our tour began at a unique rescue center dedicated to caring for alpacas, llamas, and baby condors. There, we learned about the various breeds and even had the delightful opportunity to feed and interact with them. The center also demonstrated the traditional Incan process of turning alpaca fiber into textiles, offering us the chance to purchase authentic, high-quality alpaca wool products. Gary enriched our excursion with his extensive knowledge of Incan philosophy and rituals, such as the use of Ayahuasca. We were also treated to a private visit to a small museum housing ancient Incan artifacts. Our adventure continued to the agricultural terraces of Moray, often referred to as the Incan laboratory for studying crop growth across different altitudes and microclimates. Gary skillfully navigated us through less-traveled paths, allowing us to enjoy the breathtaking scenery in tranquility.
