When is the best time to visit Antalya?
April–June and September–October: warm sea, 25–30°C days, none of August's crush. July–August is hot (35°C+) and peak-priced; winters are mild and quiet with the sites nearly private.
Konyaaltı or Lara — which beach side?
Lara for sandy resort luxury east of the city; Konyaaltı for the dramatic mountain-backed pebble strand a tram ride from the old town. City-culture trips lean Konyaaltı/Kaleiçi; all-inclusive trips lean Lara or Belek.
Is Antalya good for history?
Exceptional — Hadrian's Gate and the old town in the centre, Perge's colonnades and Aspendos' near-perfect Roman theatre within an hour, and the flame vents of Chimaera/Olympos down the coast.
