How to eat like a local
Pick the stall with the queue of office workers, not tourists; 'chope' a table by leaving a tissue packet on it; order across cultures — chicken rice, then sambal stingray, then Indian rojak. A S$20 note feeds two people spectacularly. Between meals, the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple and Sri Mariamman Temple sit two streets apart.
