Recently, I indulged in an unforgettable experience at Sayyod Camp, meticulously curated by Tratoli, and I'm eager to share my thoughts on this delightful retreat. From the onset, we were greeted by a charming driver who facilitated our seamless transfer from Bukhara. Our journey was punctuated by a scrumptious lunch in Nurota, set against an idyllic backdrop with intriguing sights that captivated us. The camp itself was the epitome of serene mountain luxury. Our yurt offered both comfort and authenticity, nestled amongst breathtaking mountain vistas, with the added bonus of a refreshing pool—the perfect synthesis of nature and comfort. Culinary delights awaited us as we savored sumptuous, traditional meals. The warmth and hospitality of the camp staff left a lasting impression; their kindness and friendliness truly enhanced our stay. Our outdoor excursions were nothing short of spectacular. The hiking tours provided an invigorating escape into the wilderness, presenting us with awe-inspiring views and a welcome respite from the ubiquitous monuments and madrasas that had filled our previous days. Our knowledgeable guide ensured a remarkable and memorable adventure amidst the pristine beauty of nature. The sole aspect that fell short of our expectations was the excursion to the lake. Despite the intriguing villages encountered en route, our time was overshadowed by an overwhelming swarm of grasshoppers. This rendered the location inaccessible for leisurely activities, prompting a hasty retreat after a mere three minutes, a stark contrast to the lengthy 2.5-hour journey. Nevertheless, when reflecting on the entirety of our stay, the allure of the great outdoors coupled with the relaxation offered by a mountain-view pool made for an exceptional getaway. Our nature retreat and hiking adventures, expertly arranged through Tratoli, left us thoroughly satisfied and brimming with fond memories.

I highly recommend taking the scenic day trip to Shahrisabz if you have an additional day in Samarkand. Early in the morning, our friendly envoy Yusufjon met us at our lodging, presented the day's agenda, and introduced us to our driver, Axmadjon. Our journey commenced with a picturesque drive through the mountains, guided by the serene flow of a river and adorned with occasional stretches of forests and nature reserves. On the way, we made delightful stops, including the remarkable Tekish Tosh boulders, a charming mountaintop market bursting with local katik, and a striking viewpoint perfect for capturing the beauty of the region. Axmadjon's companionship was a highlight of the trip, offering communication through a mix of simple English and effective use of Google Translate. He was open to including more pit stops upon request. Upon reaching Shahrisabz, we were cordially welcomed by Faruza, a knowledgeable local guide with a formidable command of English. She provided us with fascinating insights on the city's rich history and its connection to the legendary Amir Timur. Our tour encompassed the historical vestiges of Ak Saray Palace, where Faruza's narration brought the site to life, and an unexpected visit to a local painter, enriching our understanding of Amir Timur and Ulug Beg. We continued to explore Kok Gumbaz Mosque, Kulyal Mausoleum, Dorut Tivolat, as well as the emblematic Amir Timur Statue, all nestled within a verdant park. After a day steeped in history and natural beauty, we were comfortably transported back to our hotel. While there was an option to include a lunch or dinner stop, we opted out due to fatigue. Booking our excursion through Tratoli proved to be an excellent decision. This meticulously organized tour was a delightful experience, made even more evident when comparing it to acquaintances' attempts at an impromptu visit to Shahrisabz, which seemed to lack the ease and depth that our guided outing offered.

"I had an exceptional experience, which I wholeheartedly recommend, with the amazing getaway that provided a refreshing reprieve from the bustling Silk Road cities. This serene yurt camp, booked through Tratoli, delivered a tranquil atmosphere that was just perfect. The staff at the camp were the epitome of friendliness, enhancing our retreat. We indulged in several memorable hikes through the nearby mountains, thanks in large part to our wonderful guide, Silbar, who impressed us with his extensive local expertise. Our adventure didn't end there—a two-day stay at the yurt camp was followed by a night in the charming Uhum village, complete with more delightful hiking opportunities in the area. This travel package is a must for anyone looking to explore the natural beauty and culture of this unique region."

Embarking on an unforgettable two-night yurt adventure organized by Tratoli in the majestic Nurata mountains, I relished a full-day, seven-hour scenic hike through Uzbekistan's breathtaking landscapes. My experience further included a day exploring the serene Aydar Lake and the historic remains of Alexander the Great's ancient fortress. This exceptional tour perfectly balances tranquility and exploration — an ideal interlude between the enchanting cities of Bukhara and Samarkand. In the midst of Uzbekistan's beauty, the yurt stay provides a tranquil haven for rest and reflection, a necessity amid the sensory richness of non-stop sightseeing. Moreover, Tratoli's dedicated professionals were commendable for their accessibility and warmth via WhatsApp, playing a crucial role in enriching my experience. The local hospitality, extending from the driver to the yurt camp staff, was second to none, adding a layer of authenticity and comfort to an already extraordinary journey. I wholeheartedly endorse this tour to any traveler seeking a unique combination of natural splendor, cultural heritage, and genuine hospitality on their Uzbek adventure.
