Olaya earns its billing as the classic visitor base for a reason: it holds the most central hotel stock in the city, across a mid-to-luxury range. For first-timers that means a straightforward, well-connected place to land — central, close to the metro, and surrounded by the malls and dining that make a first few days simple. You won't be hunting far for somewhere to eat or somewhere to buy what you forgot to pack.

It suits business travellers just as neatly. Being on the central spine keeps commutes across town shorter, and having towers, retail and hotels stacked together means less time lost between appointments. There's no beach access here — this is a firmly urban, indoor-and-tower kind of district — so build your itinerary around the city rather than expecting a coastal side to it.
