Even with occasional missed wildlife sightings due to rainy weather, we were very satisfied with our travel package booked through Tratoli. On the first day, the pickup was excellently organized, and although there weren't any monkeys spotted during our visit to Monkey Island, the tour was still an exceptional experience. As a small consolation, our guide led us on an hour-long excursion through the rainforest. The evening caiman spotting tour absolutely stood out as a highlight! The second day's excursion to Sandoval Lake was very well-planned, but the weather conditions prevented us from seeing a lot of wildlife—yet that's the unpredictability of nature. The evening guided tour, especially with guide Fernando, was both intriguing and wonderful. On the third day, all the activities planned near the lodge were enjoyable and fun-filled! We were particularly impressed by the flexibility to extend our stay on the pickup day and by our very friendly and knowledgeable guide, Fernando. The diverse and delicious cuisine (including a variety of exotic fruit juices), much of which featured fruits grown on the property, deserves high praise, and the vegetarian options were a thoughtful addition. The lodging was comfortable and spacious, with excellent provisions to prevent any unwanted animal guests. The only slight downside was the cold shower water in the mornings. In conclusion, this lodge is highly recommendable, equipped with an engaging program and at least one very motivated guide! :)
