I recently embarked on a thrilling Pampas tour that lasted for 2 nights and 3 days, arranged via Tratoli in partnership with Mapamundi Go and their on-ground collaborator, Inca Tours, in Rurrenabaque. The booking process itself was impressively streamlined, allowing me to secure a spot on the adventure with ease, even on short notice. Despite the overall positive experience, the journey didn't kick off on the right note. The taxi ride from Rurrenabaque to Santa Rosa, coordinated by Inca Tours, was quite disappointing. The driver was preoccupied throughout the 1.5-hour trip, incessantly engaged in phone calls, video recordings, FaceTime sessions, and constant texting on WhatsApp, which was unprofessional and distracting. Thankfully, the quality of the tour itself was a stark contrast to the initial transport hiccup. Our guide, Jaque, alongside the talented chef, Thomasito, were exceptional. Their dedication to showcasing the spectacular wonders of the region's natural habitats was evident, and their efforts enhanced the entire trip. Every meal prepared by Thomasito was a delightful culinary experience that added to the journey's charm. Accommodations at the lodge, where we stayed for two nights, were quite basic, with a strong emphasis on simplicity. Although this rustic setting was bearable for the short duration, it wouldn't be suitable for an extended stay, particularly due to unsatisfactory cleanliness levels, especially in the toilet facilities. Focusing solely on the remarkable service provided by our tour guide and chef, they rightfully deserve top marks—a perfect 5 out of 5. However, considering the poor taxi service and the conditions at the lodge, I find myself compelled to adjust the overall rating to 3 out of 5. Their excellence was the highlight of our time in the Pampas, yet there are clearly areas that require improvement to ensure a consistently outstanding experience for all travelers.

Discovering the depths of the Madidi jungle and the serene expanses of the Yacuma river Pampas offered uniquely satisfying adventures. Partnered with the capable local agency Mashaquipe, the journey was elevated by their superb lodging options, which were not only gorgeous but also impeccably managed. The culinary experiences added to the overall delight, with delectable meals throughout the stay. The agency's commendable engagement with indigenous communities and their staunch commitment to environmental conservation were particularly noteworthy. The expertise of the guides for both the Madidi and the Pampas excursions significantly enriched our understanding and appreciation of each landscape. However, despite the memorable and well-organized local experiences, the pre-trip communication was lacking. After securing our travel package through Tratoli, we encountered a worrisome silence — no further correspondences followed the initial confirmation. This communication gap persisted until the very morning of our embarkation, injecting unnecessary anxiety into the lead-up to an otherwise meticulously curated trip. The experience highlighted a clear need for improved client engagement practices between the companies involved, ensuring a seamless and reassuring experience from booking to the journey's culmination.

Despite the abundant positives, a hiccup in communication surfaced when Tratoli, whom I had booked this adventure package with, left me without updates or details following my initial confirmation. This lapse resulted in unnecessary stress on the morning of my departure, highlighting an area where both agencies could enhance pre-trip communication for a smoother start to such excursions.

Embarking on a three-day adventure through Tratoli's expertly crafted travel package resulted in an absolutely unforgettable experience. The journey was nothing short of magnificent, with the added delight of Nivardo's extensive knowledge and captivating stories enriching our stay.
