I reserved a travel package with Tratoli for two separate tours, including an adventurous journey on the infamous Death Road. For this excursion, I opted for a double suspension bike, a costlier choice suggested to me due to my limited biking experience. In addition, for an extra fee, the package was supposed to include a complimentary Death Road T-shirt. Unfortunately, the promised T-shirt was never delivered. Despite inquiring with the guide, who was unaware of the offer, I was unable to collect it from the office due to my imminent departure the next day. Furthermore, the pricier bike I was riding repeatedly experienced chain issues during the tour. Disappointingly, the support van did not carry a spare of the same model, forcing me to continue the trek with the malfunctioning bike. On a positive note, the highlight of my experience with the agency was the guide, Gio, who escorted me to Charquini. Gio's kindness and attentive care were remarkable, particularly when I struggled with altitude sickness, ensuring I was supported throughout the trip. However, another letdown was the lack of follow-through on their promise to send photos taken during the tour. Relying on the agency to document the experience, I found myself able to immerse more into the surroundings, only to be disappointed by the absence of those captured memories. Based on these experiences, I cannot endorse Tratoli as a travel agency. Competitors offer comparable, if not better, services at similar or even lower prices.
