The gentle 45-minute canoe ride downstream proved to be the epitome of tranquility, granting us encounters with both gharial and mugger crocodiles, amidst an aviary symphony. As ardent bird enthusiasts, my husband and I were delighted during our explorative jungle treks—Gopal's expertise was crucial in seeking out a diverse array of bird species. One thrilling highlight was our proximity to a majestic rhino, a mere 15 meters away. Our accommodations in the jungle tower surpassed expectations, offering a commodious bed with a mosquito net, western-style toilets, and the pleasure of dining on the veranda. The December warmth complemented the nocturnal chorus of the jungle, enhancing the immersive experience.
