Communication was effortless at the hotel, with widely-spoken English and the added bonus of German if you encounter Thomas at the front desk. Travelers with vehicles should note that the hotel offers parking — which we found complimentary — or there's an alternative 24-hour parking facility near the shipyard. Parking in the area is unrestricted on Sundays. Hotel Skandia's prime location is conveniently situated across from the train station and ferry terminal, a mere five-minute stroll to the main shopping artery. It also serves as an excellent departure point for exploring the city's historic attractions on foot. Complimentary tourism brochures can be picked up at Kulturfærftet. Our personal recommendation is to allocate separate time to visit the majestic Kronborg Castle, distinct from the city walking tour. For dining options, the hotel's proximity to an array of culinary choices is a plus. Enjoy an Asian meal on the ground floor or venture a short distance into the city center for an assortment of restaurants and bars. If you're in the mood for a unique experience, Værftets Madmarked offers an indoor marketplace teeming with international street food options.
