We embarked on a delightful journey with a travel package provided by Tratoli, starting our day with a spectacular breakfast boasting sumptuous flavors, stunning views, and an uplifting ambiance. Around 9:30 am, we received detailed instructions to rendezvous with our tour guide, who was conveniently located just a 15-minute drive from us, near the gateway to the neighboring town. Despite not having a personal vehicle or access to rideshare services like Uber in the area, the considerate staff at Tratoli seamlessly arranged transportation to ensure we could meet our guide. Due to the time it took to organize our transit (~11am), we joined our guide, the incredibly knowledgeable and passionate Rosario, closer to the Las Cascadas area. Rosario provided an excellent overview of the hiking trail ahead, and our adventure commenced! The hike proved to be thoroughly engaging and physically challenging—a genuine workout—but the rewarding feeling of accomplishment made it all worthwhile. A word to future hikers—rely on your tour guide rather than the chance of a shared ride, as transportation may not be readily available. Being prepared with cash on hand is essential, as it could take time to arrange your journey to the starting point. Our experience with Rosario was nothing short of fantastic, her expertise and enthusiasm for her role shone through, adding immense value to our escapade. The entire expedition was memorable, and without a doubt, something I would eagerly do all over again!
