When to choose it over Dubai Mall
It's a third the size of Dubai Mall, which in practice means half the walking and none of the navigation stress. If your goals are skiing penguin-adjacent snow, efficient shopping and a good dinner, this is the better mall; if your goals are the aquarium, the fountain and Burj Khalifa, Downtown wins. Many trips sensibly use both.

- Ski Dubai passes include all winter gear except gloves — buy those cheap in the mall.
