Why locals rate it
Kite Beach is where Dubai actually relaxes: kitesurfers offshore, a 14-km runner-and-cyclist track behind the sand, volleyball nets, and a food-truck row whose salt-and-vinegar fries have their own fan base. The Burj Al Arab floats in every photo you take. It's free, clean and unpretentious — the antidote to beach-club pricing.
Facilities are solid: showers, changing rooms, kiosk rentals for boards and kayaks. Come late afternoon, swim, then watch the tower turn gold at sunset.
Good to know
- Weekday mornings are near-empty; weekends fill by noon.
- The calmest swimming is at the northern end, away from the kite zone.
