The free spectacular
Every evening, on the half hour, the lake between Burj Khalifa and Dubai Mall erupts into a five-minute choreography of water, light and music — classical one show, Arabic pop or film scores the next. It remains, by some distance, the best free thing in Dubai.
For the closest vantage, the traditional abra boats circle the lake during shows for a small fee; on land, the Souk Al Bahar bridge and the waterfront terraces beat the crowded mall-side rail.
Good to know
- The lake 'abra' ride puts you on the water during the show for a small fee.
