Itinerary

1. Begin your exploration of Valparaíso at Muelle Prat, located in the heart of the historic port area. Take in views of the harbor, ships and colorful hills while your guide introduces you to Valparaíso’s strong maritime heritage and its importance as one of Chile’s principal port cities.
2. Visit Plaza Sotomayor, one of Valparaíso’s most important historic squares. See the Monument to the Heroes of Iquique and the impressive Chilean Navy headquarters while your guide introduces you to the history and heritage of this UNESCO-listed port city.
3. Ride one of Valparaíso’s historic funiculars, such as El Peral or Reina Victoria, depending on operating conditions. These traditional hillside elevators are an iconic part of the city and have connected the lower district with Valparaíso’s hills for generations.
