Title: Affordable Car Rental Experience in Bulgaria with Tratoli's Partner, Top Rent A Car I recently booked a travel package through Tratoli which included a car rental from a reputed local provider, Top Rent A Car. This particular agency is the official car rental service in the region, offering outstanding rates. The fleet of vehicles is quite current, ensuring a comfortable and reliable driving experience. For those looking to save even more, I discovered that opting for a rental pick-up location away from the airport comes with a significant cost advantage. However, travelers should note that driving in Bulgaria requires an international driver's license. Failure to present one could incur considerable unexpected expenses. When I faced this requirement, I managed to secure an international license on the same day with the help of an online service provider, which cost me around $100. It's a critical step that can save you from hefty fines. Moreover, it's beneficial to familiarize yourself with Bulgaria's road signage before hitting the road. During my journey, I encountered several unfamiliar signs, and not understanding these can lead to potentially dangerous situations. Being prepared in this regard is not only safe but also ensures a more relaxed and enjoyable driving experience throughout Bulgaria. In summary, if you’re planning a trip to Bulgaria and intend to drive, consider booking with Tratoli's trusted car rental partner, Top Rent A Car, for great value. Just be sure to come equipped with an international driver’s license and a good grasp of the local road signs for a smooth and budget-friendly travel experience.

Our travel experience, booked through Tratoli, was seamless from start to finish. Upon our arrival at Sofia Airport, a brief wait was followed by a prompt shuttle service to the Top Rent a Car office. Despite a short delay due to the queue, the rental process was efficient – within 10-15 minutes, we were on our way. The automatic Opel Corsa we chose, equipped with navigation, exceeded our expectations. It proved to be a reliable travel companion, even accompanying us on a ferry journey to Thassos. Although an additional fee and a higher security deposit were required for international travel, these were minor details given the car’s impeccable performance over the 22-day rental period. Returning the vehicle was swifter than the pickup, and the convenience of a five-minute shuttle return to the airport was a significant advantage when time was of the essence. Shortly after, we appreciated the prompt receipt of the rental confirmation email, ensuring all was in order, and the immediate refund of our security deposit. Our experience with Top Rent a Car was thoroughly positive, and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend their exceptional service to others. In fact, we are looking forward to utilizing their services in the future for our car rental needs.

My travel experience with the Citroen C3 rental car was exceptional — it proved to be the perfect choice for navigating the narrow streets of Bulgaria. Booking through Tratoli was seamless and hassle-free, and I appreciated their flexibility regarding the vehicle's return condition. The compact size of the Citroen C3 made it an ideal match for local driving conditions, ensuring a smooth and worry-free journey throughout.

My experience with Top Car Rental, booked via Tratoli, has left me determined to never utilize their services again due to the incredibly poor service I encountered. The initial part of the process went smoothly, as I secured our car hire with the added assurance of premium insurance. However, upon arriving in Bulgaria, despite prior assurances from the rental company and EasyJet that a Visa debit card would suffice for the deposit, I was abruptly informed at the Top Car desk that only a credit card was acceptable, unless I was willing to pay an additional 180 euros for their insurance, on top of the 280 pounds already spent. This situation escalated at the parking lot where the rented car, which was supposed to fit two standard suitcases, could barely accommodate one. Staff members were unhelpful when I brought the issue to their attention, and any resolution would have resulted in further charges. Faced with no other option, I pursued a refund, yet I only received part of my money back, as the additional insurance fee was managed by a third-party and thus not immediately returned. The return trip to the airport, facilitated by the rental's shuttle service, was marred by a near-accident caused by inattentive driving, putting my daughter and partner at risk. This incident was the last in a series of frustrating experiences that culminated in an unexpected, costly taxi fare of around 150 pounds to our final destination. The whole ordeal was a clear example of false advertising, lackluster customer support, and blatant disregard for safety, which altogether has cemented my decision to not only forego using Top Car Rental but also to actively dissuade others from their services. The multiple assurances around payment methods, the shuttle incident, and the subsequent financial losses and stress paints a picture of a company apathetic to the concerns and wellbeing of their clients.

I had a positive experience with a diverse selection of vehicles ranging from compact to spacious, and encompassing models from brand new to three years old. Renting was a breeze, and the shuttle service provided a seamless transfer from the airport to the rental office. The staff members were consummate professionals who were also a delight to converse with. I'm definitely planning on using their services again for my upcoming travels. This great experience was facilitated by a travel package I booked through Tratoli.
